We invite you to take part in our merit-making ceremony, which will be held on May 18, 2014 by referring to Visakha Puja Day.Visakha Puja Day is an important Buddhist holy day, regarded a public holiday in Thailand, which Buddhists can perform merit-makings during the day. The significant celebration is held to commemorate the Buddha's birth,enlightenment and death (Parinibbana)
The schedule of event will be as follows:
Sunday,May 18, 2014
10:00 a.m. Participants are expected to get ready in the holy hall.
10:30 a.m. Participants perform morning chant and meditation practice
11:10 a.m. Lay people offer foods to Buddhist monks. Participants eat lunch.Thai foods are served in self-service.
1:00 p.m. The abbot gives a dharma talk. Lay people give offerings to monks.
1:40 p.m. Monks give blessing. Participants perform the three- round
circumambulation to pay homage to the Triple Gem in regard to Visakha Puja Day.The ceremony is over.
